McMahon Advocacy Group: Services

The McMahon Advocacy Group is prepared to provide you with every service necessary to achieve the best for your special needs child. We have resources in a variety of fields that can meet all your needs.

Evaluation

We will have you work with us and our experts to determine the proper classification and an individual plan for the the services and programs your child needs now and in the future.
Building a Plan
We will work with you to develop a plan to ensure that your child is receiving the appropriate educational services and a strategy to get them. This plan will range from a teacher communication plan to full legal representation. If appropriate we will accompany you to appropriate CSEP and CSE meetings.
Obtaining the Services Your Child Needs: We will work with you and the School District to implement your plan. We will be there if any obstacles arise. Our experience allows us to employ a full range of options, from informed discussion to negotiation and mediation, all the way to Due Process Hearings, appeals and the Courts

Family Long Term Planning: Having a special child may require long range planning to ensure that their needs are taken care if you cannot be there for them. We will discuss a "Letter of Intent", estate planning and special needs trusts as tools to achieve the security you need and they deserve.
